Two of my trainees are actually using the blog, whereas there are two who seem to have got lost in the cyber universe.. I feel half frustruated
As a teacher and teacher trainer it is pretty difficult to make studetns aware of the importance of tech in Education.. Well, I suppose it's a question of time...

The Bloggers at work

At last I could make my trainees open their blog accounts.. after telling them about this project , trying to persuade them of the advantages of using Tech in the classroom and almost begging them to open their blog accounts, they have done so!!! Now I'll see if my expectations are fullfilled and my suspicions are right...
I really need to see this working, wanna give some feedback???

Objectives:

The project is about creating a web page our students can consult and where they can find all the information they need before and while doing their practicum.
The web page gives academic support, suggests links to resource pages, and provides the administrative information they might need. Also, it has links to the Students practicum journals, which the students are asked to write after each lesson. In addition they can see the teachers’ comments and feedback.

Beneficiaries:

· Students doing their practicum.
· Teachers working at ISLI
· Other Students either at ISLI or other Colleges
· Teachers in general.
· Other people interested in the WEB page

Advantages:

The web pages encourage the use of technology and the possibility of learning autonomously. In this case, this web page aids students in their practicum and fosters reflection upon their own and their classmates’ practice. It creates ground for classroom discussion and doing-in-action.

Moreover, the use of blogs allows the teacher to see what the students are feeling about their school placement experiences and gives the chance to anticipate or tackle problems in the class.

As students are “encouraged” to use the web page on a regular basis, they will get used to use technological recourses in the EFL classroom. Technology literacy is very important and this project aims at catering for it.

On the teachers’ part, it enables interdisciplinary work (i.e with other teachers in the institution)
